Plot

Castlevania Legends takes place during 1450. Dracula is at an all time high with his power, and his armies have been spreading around the world. During this time, a girl named Sonia Belmont had left her home to try and find a purpose to her life. She ran in to Dracula's son, Alucard Tepes, who was working to fight against his father. The two got to know each other quite well, and Sonia decided that she would go to try and stop Dracula herself...

Gameplay

There are two playable modes in this game, Normal mode, and Light mode. Light mode has Sonia's whip always on full power, in Normal mode however, crystals must be collected to power it up. The player starts with three lives, once these are depleted, you must restart back at the beginning of the current stage. There are no sub weapons in Castlevania Legends, but weapons can be purchased using hearts collected from defeating enemies, each weapons can use a different form of magic.
