Background

Dmitrii Blinov is one of the two people picked by Celia Fortner as a possible candidate for the new Dracula, the other being Dario Bossi. His reasons for wanting to be the chosen one are so he can learn more about his powers such as origin, coming off with a snobbish personality that makes him seem like he puts everyone else beneath him.

In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow his soul is consumed by Soma but after the trick played be Celia with Mina Hakuba he uses his ability to copy used spells to mimic Power of Dominance and manages to separate the bond between their souls. He then goes off with Celia to hatch their plan at the resurrection of Dracula.

Soma finds them once more, with Celia freshly sacrificed. They join battle but Dmitrii dies suddenly, unable to control his body due to being too weak for the new magical power. From his body erupts Menace, which can only be described as an "abomination", as a mixture of monster souls. This creature becomes the final boss for Soma in this game.
