Background

Jonathan Morris is one of the two playable characters in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on the Nintendo DS, son of John Morris and a relative of the Belmont Clan. He is a vampire hunter, and like those before him, gains the ability to wield the Vampire Killer Whip but does not use it at full power due to not being a direct descendant of the Belmonts. He curses his father for this, blaming him for not teaching him, until the point he meets Wind.

His child years were spent with a female named Charlotte Aulin as close friends. They then work together to defeat the evil Brauner before he can resurrect Dracula with his two adopted daughters, Loretta and Stella.
