Background

Nikolai is a priest and the founder of Wygol Village who toiled the very land the township is built upon, to create the town as it is today. He claims that the reason that he did this, was because he was guided there by God. As the founder of the village, he finds that it's his responsibility to look after everyone in it (including outsiders) and as such, enlists the aid of Shanoa to rescue those that have been kidnapped by Albus.

He expresses grave concern for the well being of the lost villagers, and even when they are all found will still express grief until their minds have all been set at ease by completing their individual quests.

Note: Nikolai is freed by absorbing the Torpor Glyph that confines him in Wygol Village
