Background

Soma Cruz is the protagonist for Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (NDS). The design and creation of Soma Cruz was due to Koji Igarashi trying to take Castlevania on a new path to attract more players while keeping all the veterans.

Soma is a student in Japan lured to Dracula's castle where he learns to use new found powers and must defeat the dark lord.

The following year Soma has to fight off a cult that is trying to defeat him in order to create a new dark lord.

In Dawn of Sorrow's unlockable Julius Mode, you fight Soma as a boss.
